Is Enshrouded on PS5?
Enshrouded launched on PlayStation 5 alongside the PC 1.0 release on October 15, 2026. If you are choosing a platform, use the official release information and your regional PlayStation Store listing rather than a PC performance video.
This page is a platform and purchase checklist. We have not benchmarked the PS5 or PS5 Pro version and do not promise a fixed frame rate, resolution or graphical mode.
The US PlayStation Store lists PS Plus as required for online play, with up to eight online players. Online play is optional. Check your regional listing before arranging a group.
Check these before buying

Look at recent footage captured on the same console model if performance is central to the decision. A PS5 Pro demonstration is not a measurement of the base PS5, and a creator's PC settings are not console options.
Playing with PC friends
Keen's official launch FAQ states that cross-platform play was not available at launch and gives no release estimate there. Treat that as the documented launch position, then check newer official announcements before arranging a mixed-platform purchase.
Crossplay, transferring a save and owning the game on two platforms are separate questions. A dedicated host does not by itself prove that two different platform clients can join one world. Check platform support explicitly.
What the game asks you to do
The appeal combines exploration, resource gathering, survivor/crafting progression and substantial building. The practical decision is whether you enjoy the adventure that supplies your building projects.
If you mainly want a quiet builder, inspect the available world settings and actual gameplay before buying. If your group wants a shared adventure, compare schedules, platform compatibility and who will host. Your first session
Once you are playing, begin with a usable base, the Blacksmith progression and travel tools rather than a complete endgame build. Follow Start here, then choose a combat approach after trying the weapons you have.
Use the prompts displayed by your console for interactions. PC-keyboard labels in a video are not instructions to find those same keys on a controller.
